Content Mastery

Halstrom students don't get left behind.
In the past 25 years, Halstrom has helped every one of the 15,000 students whom it has taught to reach their potential and believe in themselves. Students must master the assignment at 80% or better before moving on to the next assignment. During the live session, teachers will re-teach anything that is necessary, preview the next assignment, and teach the next lesson.

Why students learn more.
At a traditional school, how many minutes does each student get to talk to their teacher one-to-one? How many questions do they get to ask in class? How many times do they worry about what other kids will think of them?

At Halstrom – it's one teacher, one student, every class.

Learning one-to-one with a trusted teacher works because our students feel at ease and receive the personalized support they need to master content. Each student and teacher gets to know and respect each other. Teachers at Halstrom are able to reach and engage ALL students because they have the time to find out what makes them tick and discover their unique talents and struggles. That translates into teachers being able to figure out the best way to teach to each student – and how to make content fun and interesting.

Each student spends dedicated time with their teacher, so they focus more time learning at their own pace – not someone else's.
