Full-Time Program
To be considered full-time, students must take at least four academic courses in a semester that meet California graduation requirements. Students may also participate in various student activities and small group elective classes. Each course has 15-17 weekly class sessions for 5.0 credits with about five hours of study in between.
Courses by Credit
Students attending other high schools or being homeschooled can enroll at Halstrom for additional classes and can replace grades taken at other institutions. Many students want to take courses that meet college requirements or help them get ahead. Credit is transferable, but since school districts have their own policies regarding transferring and grades, a school official must sign a Halstrom High School Course Verification course.
