1. What kind of students attend HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ?
HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ students become responsible, self-directed learners. They are students who want to take responsibility for their education.
From gifted to remedial, all students find success. HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ students are motivated to succeed on their own terms.
2. How can a student succeed at HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ by attending only a few days a week?
Students attend HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ a few hours a day, a few days a week. Each student has a 45 minute, one-to-one individualized instruction appointment designed specifically to meet their needs and learning level. After each appointment, the student is assigned 5 hours of homework/preparation that is completed away from school. All students must demonstrate a minimum mastery level of 70% per assignment. If a student is not able to demonstrate minimum mastery, the teacher will
reteach and reassign before moving on to the next assignment.
3. Is HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ accredited?
HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLSŪ are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Each high school has earned 6 year terms, the most allowed by WASC.
4. Can students transfer to other high schools?
Students may transfer to another high school. Each high school has their own transfer policy and course requirements. Please check with the high school for their policies.
5. Are HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ; courses approved?
HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ has "a-g" approved course list from University of California/California State University. HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ also has an approved course list from NCAA.
6. Can HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ graduates attend college?
HALSTROM HIGH SCHOOLŪ graduates attend colleges and universities across the country and abroad, such as - UCLA, Arizona State, Loyola Marymount, Fisher College (MA), Stanford University, San Diego State University, and London School of Business.
